Our Story

About Zuri Restaurant, Garoda Beach, Watamu — A menu that starts at the shoreline

Zuri cooks the coast it sits on. Seafood comes in from the Watamu boats — tuna, prawns, octopus, lobster — and vegetables and fruit from farms along the Kilifi road, inside the UNESCO-listed Watamu Marine National Reserve.

What we do with it draws on four traditions: Mediterranean simplicity, Italian craftsmanship — homemade ravioli, paccheri, lobster linguine — the spice and warmth of Indian cooking, and the richness of the Kenyan coast.

Lunch is relaxed and barefoot, served by the pool with the garden around you. Dinner slows the pace down — candlelight, the sound of the reef, and a room small enough that the kitchen can look after every table on it.
